I-70), Mt. Evans Trout Fishing is nestled in a mountain canyon
along Chicago Creek, a sunny retreat against the backdrop
of green wooded mountainsides…your family fishing headquarters!
A great way to introduce your child to the sport, the whole
family can have a fun-filled day of fishing at Grandma & Grandpa's Fishing Pond. Because
it is a private pond, no license is required.
At 8,700 feet in elevation, our fresh, clean mountain air and temperate
sunny climate provide a fun stop for travelers or a never-to-be-forgotten
day for the whole family. Our well-stocked lake, including trophy-size
fighters, is handicap accessible with easy walk-on access. Bring
along a picnic lunch and enjoy the beauty of our wooded picnic
area with tables alongside the cool waters of Chicago Creek.

also live at Grandma & Grandpa's Fishing Pond.

At 14,240 feet, Mount Evans is within a few minute's drive via The
Mount Evans Scenic Byway – the highest paved automobile
road in the United States. Often called The Road into the Sky,
this breathtaking drive climbs from 8,700 feet at Idaho Springs,
passes by the Trout Pond at 4 miles, and ascends another 10 miles
up to the summit of Mount Evans over 14,000 feet. All this in a
mere 14 miles!

Grandma & Grandpa's
